Support Advocacy
And now a word from the Slow Food Huron Valley vice-chair:
You may have noticed, but if you didn't, I'd like to point out that Slow Food USA has taken on a stronger and more vocal national role as advocates for sound and sustainable food systems. See for instance their recent Time For Lunch campaign, which the local chapter took part in. If you support such a role, please consider giving to Slow Food USA. In fact, if you give today, whatever amount you can, you will be signed up as a new member. Simply go to SlowFoodUSA.com and click on the following button:

Be sure and select "Huron Valley" as your local chapter (convivium). As way of disclosure, I will mention about a $1 of this amount will go to the local chapter (if you want to give more directly to Slow Food Huron Valley you should email SFHV leadership or show up at the next meeting). Other than basic membership perks, in my opinion the main reason to give to SlowFoodUSA is to show strong support for that national voice.
