Winter CSA: Week 19
Well, should be easy convincing shareholders that it is late spring in the hoophouses right now... 9 bagged items this week in the full share! So let's get this party started!

The spring salad mix rolls on including heirloom lettuces and some other greens like the purple spined hong vit (new this week)... Also new this week, a bonus on top of the salad: baby D'Avignon radishes, a traditional variety from southern France (be sure to eat the baby radish greens).

New this week too... If you're okay with a touch of bitter, add this curly endive (chicory family) to your salad - the variety is called Bianca Riccia. If you're not into a touch of bitter, perhaps try juicing this or it is a favorite soup ingredient (try some of the soup or salad recipes here or the Italian wedding soup recipe half-way down this page here although you'll have to scale down the volume).

Please sir, some more carrots!

Stoic spinach

The comradery of collards

Honorable kale

Zesty arugula

Zestier mustard greens

Claytonia, now some leaves include edible flowers!
