Hoophouses Rejoice on the Solstice

By no means a pagan or Wicca (not that I have anything against them) but being a farmer does tune you into the seasons, climate, and weather. Every late December there is much rejoicing by me (and I suspect there is much rejoicing by all of the plants bundled up in the hoophouses as well) when I see under the astronomical "Length of Day" details of one of my favorite weather websites that Tomorrow will be 0m 6s longer.

Our battle against diminishing daylight is won. We are over the hump. This makes a tremendous difference as we continue to work with whatever the season brings us. Happy Solstice indeed.
