Cloudy & Cold to Sunny & Cold

Happy New Year from Brines Farm. Well hopefully we've made it through the worst of it. That was quite the many weeks of cloudy with very little sun and cold sometimes bitter cold. A cheap min/max thermometer I have outside at the farm recorded a -4 degrees F recently. Still during that time we've managed to eke out some CSA shares each week.



While the sun and slightly increased overnight lows do not guarantee immediately bigger harvests (there's always a lag), these things coupled with the ever increasing length of daylight bodes well. In fact, in a few weeks I'll be seeding a few things! Hooray for blue sky.
