Winter CSA: Week 9
Winter seems like it has arrived now. Hopefully we have what you need to fight the winter blahs. In this week's share:

A winter salad mix that includes some hardy lettuces

A wild mix (mostly claytonia)

Mix of arugula varietied

Brassica mustard mix which includes 3 varieties including green wave & red giant.

Komatsuna

The last of the hakurei type turnips for at least a while (carrots coming soon!)

Cilantro

Big blue hubbard or Long Island Cheese heirloom squash. The former is a little mealier, neither is particularly sweet but many are used in soups, stews, or pies. Can pre-bake for such uses by slicing in half or strips and baking in a pan (sometime with a little water in the pan).
