Winter CSA: Week 15
Perhaps you have noticed but it has been a slightly more cloudy February than average. At this point sun is crucial for a new round of greens to grow and growback. So as we await some of those cold crisp blue sky days that late winter typically brings we've been digging into our freezer reserves, last of the cold storage (turnips), and the hardiest of greens that can get some growth in during these dreary days (spinach, claytonia, kales, etc.). Keep the fingers crossed for some sun.

Claytonia

Spinach - this is as close to as sweet spinach can get

Kale/collards

Carrots - these are about as sweet as carrots can get

Turnips

Frozen item (squash etc)
