Winter CSA: Week 17

While it feels like spring may have sprung in the hoophouses we still can see a few cold nights on the horizon. Still, growth in the crops inside the hoophouses is started to get rather noticeable, which bodes well for the volume of harvests in coming weeks. First, this week:



Tongue of Fire dry bean



Dry hot peppers



Collards



Spinach



Claytonia



Sweet sugary carrots continue



Some will probably be happy to know this is the last of the bumper crop of old world turnips (although I was certainly glad we had them given the snowy/cloudy winter we've had this year)



Frozen item (squash, peppers, tomatoes, etc)
