Winter CSA: Week 12
Brrrrrr. Bitter, bitter cold week. Not record lows since I've been hoophouse farming but enough to make me uneasy. We did harvest some fresh greens for today's share and thankfully we still have some storage and preserved goods grown when it was shall we say a bit warmer...

Winter salad mix

Baby spinach

Swiss chard

Red giant mustard greens

A few potatoes and onion

A taste of dried Marvel of Venice heirloom beans

And a package of frozen tomatoes (many of them heirloom). Note: Their skins and cores were removed before they were frozen.
The latter few items might make a nice stew or soup on any of these cold days.
